Melody Gillum is a native Texan, with a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. For over 35 years, she has enjoyed teaching and training children in the classroom, around the community, and at home. Mrs. Gillum’s goal as a teacher is to cultivate a love of learning in her students, as they work toward mastery of subjects. Her experience includes home schooling her seven children from birth through graduation, serving as a home school parent mentor, volunteering as a home school co-op teacher and as a Sunday School teacher, and free-lance tutoring Math, Reading, and Fiber & Textile Handcrafts. She taught Art, English, and Unit Studies at Hill Country Academy, and tutors Kindergarten through 9th grade students at Learning Squared at the Ranch. Mrs. Gillum loves to help students grow in skill and understanding.
