World Geography
6th– 12th grades
Mondays, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Mrs. Tiffeny Howe & Mrs. PJ Burton
What do you really know about the world outside your home? Come learn about other countries and cultures, cool landforms, biozones and climates, valuable natural resources, and governments found on the far side of the globe. After this course, you will be able to sketch a rough map of the world with major features, as well as identify capitals and countries on each of the inhabited continents. This course will culminate in a Geography Bee at the end of the school year, so get ready to show off your knowledge! This class will be taught as a hybrid Middle School-High School class, with different assignments and thinking skills used for the two levels. Focus will be on both physical and human geography in each of the major world regions: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica.
